Licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 1989, Marcia focuses her practice on general civil and trial practice, business, municipal law, regulatory compliance, probate, and real estate. Marcia was certified in mediation through the University of Houston in 1998.
Through the course of her career, Marcia has served over ten years as an Assistant District Attorney in both Montgomery and Jefferson Counties. Her trial experience includes the representation of companies with employment related disputes. Marcia has also represented clients in administrative hearings with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, Texas Railroad Commission and the Public Utilities Commission. She is admitted to practice in the Southern District of Texas. She has served as adjunct faculty for the Lone Star College System teaching legal procedure, as well as courses at the Lamar University Police Academy.
Marcia and her husband, Tom, have two daughters. In the county, Marcia has served on the Board of Directors for the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, Greater Conroe Chamber of Commerce/City of Conroe Downtown Revitalization Committee and the Montgomery County Cattle Barons, funding cancer research, where she served as chairperson in 2008. Marcia currently serves on the Board of Directors for Montgomery County Community Partners and FAITH in Montgomery County. Marcia serves on the legal committee at her church and is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Montgomery County.
